Trump attacks Iran-backed Houthi terrorists.
On Saturday President Trump announced that the United States Military launched an attack on the Houthi terrorist organization in Yemen. Trump said that the Houthi terrorists had,
“waged an unrelenting campaign of piracy, violence, and terrorism against American, and other, ships, aircraft, and drones.”
He then said,
“It has been over a year since a U.S. flagged commercial ship safely sailed through the Suez Canal, the Red Sea, or the Gulf of Aden. The last American Warship to go through the Red Sea, four months ago, was attacked by the Houthis over a dozen times. Funded by Iran, the Houthi thugs have fired missiles at U.S. aircraft, and targeted our Troops and Allies. These relentless assaults have cost the U.S. and World Economy many BILLIONS of Dollars while, at the same time, putting innocent lives at risk.”
The attacks are supposed to last several days and the Trump administration hopes that these attacks will strike fear into the terrorist organization. Trump ended by saying,
“YOUR TIME IS UP, AND YOUR ATTACKS MUST STOP, STARTING TODAY. IF THEY DON’T, HELL WILL RAIN DOWN UPON YOU LIKE NOTHING YOU HAVE EVER SEEN BEFORE!”
What a difference, right? I can’t think of one time during the previous Biden administration where there was any power, authority, or resolve coming out of the White House.
Now, it’s important to note a couple of things here. One is that this issue with the Houthis is indicative of many other problems the United States and other countries have had to deal with involving radical Islamic terrorist organizations. It seems that this branch of Islam, Zaydi Shia, is dead set on terror and control. Thus, we have to be, as a country, ready and willing to fight these terrorists so they don’t gain too much power or control over certain regions.
Second, it’s fair to note that I have advocated for “anti-war” ideology in recent newsletters and this story, it may seem, is a change in tone from me. I understand the criticism but I don’t think it’s entirely warranted. The issue with terrorist organizations is that they never stop unless you literally force them to stop. And with a terrorist run country like Iran (who hates the West) backing these Houthi terrorists, this could always turn into something much more serious.
For example, look at the Israeli-Palestinian war in Gaza. There has been much discussion about whether or not the Palestinians could ever receive a nuclear weapon from their backers, Iran. This is a legitimate question as Iran has strong relations with both China and Russia. If Iran gets ahold of a nuclear weapon and gives Palestine or any other terrorist organization or country that weapon, we could be in for a lot of trouble.
Geopolitics are not so cut and dry all the time, that said, we (America) have to be willing to stop these terrorist organizations quickly and effectively before they gain in popularity and power. They are beholden to a religious ideology that is rooted in death and evil— if they receive the ability, through nuclear weapons, to wipe out entire countries and races, they will.
Israel strikes again!
On Monday night Israel began severe airstrikes in Gaza on Hamas once again, disrupting the ceasefire that began on January 17th. The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu released this statement about the attacks:
“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz have instructed the IDF to take strong action against the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip. This follows Hamas’s repeated refusal to release our hostages, as well as its rejection of all of the proposals it has received from US Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff and from the mediators. The IDF is, at this time, attacking targets of the Hamas terrorist organization throughout the Gaza Strip in order to achieve the objectives of the war as they have been determined by the political echelon including the release of all of our hostages, the living and the deceased. Israel will, from now on, act against Hamas with increasing military strength. The operational plan was presented by the IDF over the weekend and approved by the political leadership.”
It’s been reported that the IDF launched strikes on two terrorists that attempted to plant an explosive device near IDF soldiers in Gaza. The IDF has also struck command centers and military sites in Syria.
This all makes sense to me. Obviously, as Christians, we don’t want wars and death. That said, this war between Israel and Hamas (and Iran) is an ideological and religious war at its core. Both sides claim religious and historical rights to the same territory and are uncompromising in their belief that the Gaza Strip belongs to them. This is where my take on this war will actually diverge from a lot of people on the political right and (no surprise) many on the political left. I think it makes sense and is just that Israel responds to terrorists like Hamas in a way that is properly proportionate to Hamas’s intent and actions.
Hamas has said on many occasions that it wants to annihilate the Jews and the state of Israel. This is clear: Hamas is an evil terrorist organization that is being backed by Iran and should be eliminated. The idiotic and infantile claims made by pseudo-intellectuals on the far right like Candace Owens and Nick Fuentes are immoral and rooted in a false narrative and judicial ideology. If the Palestinian’s aim to eliminate the Jews is not enough evidence that Israel’s severe attacks on the terrorist organization is justified, then you should get a new moral compass.
Listen to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the issue.
Elon Musk and SpaceX saves stranded astronauts.
Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, two NASA astronauts who have been stuck in space for nine months are finally home. In June of 2024 both astronauts took a trip to the International Space Station to evaluate Starliner’s docking and operational capabilities— the trip was supposed to take 10 days. Unfortunately, due to technical issues, NASA and Boeing feared that the astronauts wouldn’t be able to make it home safely. This led to a 9-month stay at the International Space Station.
Luckily, Elon Musk and his space company, SpaceX, launched four astronauts into orbit on the SpaceX Dragon to retrieve the stranded NASA astronauts. The SpaceX Dragon landed on Tuesday afternoon on the coast of Florida. Elon Musk offered to rescue these astronauts months ago to the Biden administration but was rejected for political reasons… Those political reasons being that Democrats hate human beings.
This is really just a cool story - it’s unbelievable that we live in times in which people are traveling to space and independent entrepreneurs like Elon Musk are making more of an impact on space innovation than the federal government. Good for Elon and SpaceX for doing what NASA should have done 9 months ago!
Also, this is very cool - here is a quote from Butch Wilmore,
“I can tell you honestly my feeling on all of this goes back to my faith. It’s bound in my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is working out his plan and his purposes for his glory throughout all of humanity, and how that plays into our lives is significant and important. And however that plays out, I am content because I understand that. I understand that he’s at work in all things."
Is the Daily Wire falling apart?
On Tuesday afternoon the Conservative news outlet, Daily Wire, announced that its co-CEO, Jeremy Boreing, is stepping down to pursue a more “creative” role within the company. For those of you like me, who have been watching the Daily Wire for years, this may not come as a surprise (if you’ve been paying attention). Jeremy Boreing has had a multitude of major problems as CEO of the company— letting Brett Cooper go (one of the largest financial assets in the company, though she’s a cultural liberal, not a true conservative), hiring Candace Owens (she’s a liberal), launching Bentkey, Daily Wire’s children’s platform, and never updating it with new shows, taking years (and millions of dollars) to complete the Pendragon Cycle, and creating the worst western movie of all time, Terror on the Prairie - the list goes on and on.
To be clear, I am a fan of the Daily Wire. But Jeremy has always made me skeptical— he’s incredibly confident in his inability to create anything good in the realm of film and story (a problem that many Conservatives have) and has rode Ben Shapiro’s coattails to fame and fortune. Everyone knows that the Daily Wire is where it is today because of Ben Shapiro— not Jeremy Boreing.
But what’s really happening here? Obviously, when this story broke, nobody was actually clear on why Jeremy is stepping down— maybe we’ll get some more information later on (probably not). But this is indicative of the institutional decline in America. Many new media outlets were started in the vacuum that legacy media left in the wake of 2020 (and even earlier in some cases). Daily Wire was one of these new institutions. And for a long time they did great work and found great new talent. People like Michael Knowles (my favorite political commentator) and Matt Walsh have made incredible contributions to the Conservative movement in America. Walsh’s documentary, What is a Woman?, quite literally changed the course of American history.
I guess we don’t technically know what is happening right now— but I do know that things around the Daily Wire have been really weird lately. And it seems that Jeremy and those at the Daily Wire are willing to stretch the truth or even lie to cover their behind if needed. And we do know that they are also willing to shut people like Brett Cooper up after she leaves so that nobody can know what is really going on. Very interesting. I think, for what it’s worth, we need men of virtue to run our institutions.
Who killed JFK?!
On Tuesday night, after 62 years of waiting, the JFK files were released! Now, I want to be very clear: I have not read the 80,000 pages of documentation (nor do I plan on reading them) but I have been scouring the internet trying to find out what sorts of new information the files have brought to light.
There are a couple of interesting things. There is one page that has been circulating in which this paragraph was written,
This is fascinating stuff and I’m not sure we’ll get a verdict on the legitimacy of Underhill’s claims that a group within the CIA killed the President. That said, if this is true, it would upend our entire democracy. Seriously. If it’s possible for a government agency that is meant to protect the American people to not only murder the sitting President of the United States of America, but also to hide the evidence and kill anyone who knew of the truth behind the assassination for over 60 years, than we no longer live in a free state run by the people. The world keeps getting weirder and weirder ladies and gentlemen!
Liberals are still destroying our healthcare system by butchering children.
The party of love and tolerance have taken on an interesting and uncompromising definition of those two words. According to liberals and Democrats, love is synonymous with child mutilation— how sweet!
The Trans Health Project has done the work to identify healthcare (a gross euphemism) organizations all across the country who, despite Trump’s executive order, are still open for child butchering business. You may actually know of some of the systems on the list. I’ll name a few:
UChicago Medicine
Johns Hopkins
University of Florida
University of Illinois
UW Health (University of Wisconsin)
Mayo Clinic
Boston Medical Center
That is only a fraction of the medical facilities across the country that are willing to ruin your child’s life. Remember those liberal shills at Christianity Today and the Gospel Coalition who said that “third-wayism” is an acceptable political ideology? Or what about Ray Ortlund who advocated for Evangelicals to vote for Kamala Harris? Or what about his son, Gavin Otlund, who virtually never speaks on issues of abortion and transgenderism but claims that he thinks about climate change every day (while simultaneously not being able to define what it is)?
Uh-oh! Looks like the “third-wayism” doesn’t actually work and isn’t actually Christian! Who would have thought?! It turns out that those who are too passive and negligent to recognize filthy policy will likely either engage in the evil perpetrated by liberalism or turn a blind eye to it. Furthermore, they will likely engage in breaking the law (which is unbiblical unless the law of man breaks the law of God - see Romans 13:1) which has happened in the case of the Democrats who are currently breaking the law in regards to mutilating children and are advocates of illegal aliens breaking the law and crossing our border.
But love is love is love, right? Isn’t that the liberal definition? If your church is open to this, you should leave. This is not Christianity, it’s satanic.
When I grow up I want to be the CEO of a Planned Parenthood.
A recent report has reveled that CEO’s of Planned Parenthood affiliate organizations make a lot of money. This is obviously no surprise— it feels like every week we learn that some company or organization that claims to be doing the Lord’s work to help minorities, women, (fill in whatever groupthink identity here) is actually a fraud filled with people who care about two things: money and power.
This report should make your blood boil as it reveals that the top 10 Planned Parenthood affiliated organizations have CEO’s making between $490,000/year to $875,000/year— quite a bit, don’t you think? Quite a bit indeed. Especially when you take into account the fact that these CEO’s entire job is to facilitate the slaughter of countless human lives. These sick and hell bound shills make between half a million and a million dollars a year.
So, if you’re a fake Christian or if you’re completely blind and have no moral compass, you should consider working for Planned Parenthood! If you murder enough babies and kiss enough ass, you might one day become a CEO and get really rich!
I don’t feel the need to comment on this theologically as it is self-evident to any true Christian that murdering children is evil… well, it should be self-evident to any Christian that murdering babies it evil. I say that because, as a lifelong resident of the spiritually dead and morally bankrupt city of Madison, WI, there are many “churches” who cannot figure this out. “Churches” like High Point Church (one of the largest churches in Madison) where I went to for 8 years and is now publicly communing with and financially supporting a church whose “pastor”, Shiela Stubbs, is an active Democrat state representative and avid supporter of Planned Parenthood and slaughtering children.
Anyway, this is vile and if you go to a church that supports murdering children, you aren’t going to a Christian church. This is no disputable matter.
What to read…
This week we merge history, philosophy, politics, and theology because I am noticing that Christians in the United States have little to no ability to understand how Christianity is attached to living. Our book is one that I’ve discussed before, How Should We Then Live by Francis Schaeffer. In this book Schaeffer does what many Christian theologians are afraid to do; he tracks Christian thought through political and philosophical history and makes the case that the West was built on Christian doctrine and ethics and that the West can only move forward if we look back to the doctrines that created us. Now, the interesting thing about this book is that Schaeffer makes an even more specific point than most people have in the past when writing about the history of the West. He says that not just “Judeo-Christian” ethics built the West, but that Reformed Christin doctrine built the West. He also argues that ideas matter and that we must vigorously sift through our ideologies in order to make biblical and godly decisions. This is one of the best books I have ever read— you should check it out.
