In this episode, I got to talk with Carolina Lumetta. Carolina is a political reporter at WORLD News in Washington, DC. She has written on many different topics at WORLD that relate to the 2024 Presidential Election.

In this discussion we talked about the Trump campaign, how it’s going and what topics Republicans are most interested in this upcoming election. We also talked about the Robert F. Kennedy campaign and whether he has any chance at winning the presidency. Then we talked about the interview Tucker Carlson did with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. I hope you enjoy!

Stephen Hicks is Professor of Philosophy at Rockford University in Rockford, Illinois, Executive Director at the Center for Ethics and Entrepreneurship, and also a Senior Scholar at the Atlas Society. Hicks has written many books including, Explaining Postmodernism: Skepticism and Socialism from Rousseau and Foucault and Nietzsche and the Nazis. He is also a part of the new Peterson Academy, a University started by Jordan Peterson.

In this episode, Stephen and I discuss the purpose of education and how to apply that purpose within different mediums. We talk about the difference in online learning and in-person learning and the potential downsides and upsides of online universities. We also talk about the fundamental link between moral ethics and education - is education morally neutral? Finally, we touch on the topics of evolution, Calvinism, and transhumanism.

Greg Silker is a movie producer, commercial director, ministry starter, and coffee shop owner in Minneapolis, MN. He owns Silker Studios, a production company primarily focused on commercial advertisements that is now making its move into the movie market. In 2023, Greg was an Executive Producer for the movie Let Me Have My Son and hopes to have more film projects in the works very soon. He and his wife, Barbara, own a coffee shop in downtown Minneapolis, called Bordertown, which is also the home of a Christian fraternity that the couple started.

To begin their discussion, Andy and Greg talk about Greg’s experience growing up in his father’s commercial photography studio, which was the largest of its kind between New York and Los Angeles. They also talk about the first movie produced by Silker Studios, Let Me Have My Son. They discuss Greg’s goals for kingdom building film making in international markets, like Kenya, and their animated kids series that is currently in development. Finally, they break down their favorite movies of all time and discuss the future of Silker Studios.

Patrick Deneen is a Professor of Political Science at the University of Notre Dame and previously taught at both Georgetown University and Princeton University. Deneen has written several books including Why Liberalism Failed and most recently, Regime Change. The former was featured on Barak Obama’s favorite books of 2018. Patrick is also a founding member of the Postliberal Order, a Substack with almost 10,000 subscribers.

In this podcast, Patrick and I discuss his book Why Liberalism Failed, in which he explains the paradox that liberalism failed because it achieved with it set out to do. In other words, liberalism failed because it was successful. We also discuss one of Deneen’s newest articles called “A Party of Commitment.” In it, Deneen breaks down the values of Americans on the political right and the left and highlights where they align and where they don’t align.

Finally, we discuss Deneen’s newest book, Regime Change, in which Deneen gives a vision forward for a postliberal society. We discuss the media’s reaction to this book and I ask Deneen the most important question of the interview: do you hate liberals?
